Acne and Acne Scarring

As hormones start changing this causes a stimulation of the sebaceous glands (oil), which produces an overabundance of sebum(oil). The good news is acne is a very treatable condition.

Rosacea

Rosacea is a condition of the skin that used to be characterized as acne, it is now believed that rosacea is more of a problem with the blood vessels and flushing of the skin. With rosacea, the skin turns red very easily, known as flushing.

Sun Damage

Repetitive exposure to the sun causes severe skin damage, premature aging, and skin cancer. The sun projects three basic kinds of ultraviolet rays or UV rays. There are many non-invasive procedures to reverse the damage that has already occurred and to prevent future damage.

Melasma

It is believed that melasma is caused by hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy, or while taking birth control. Research is also finding it more in women who are going through hormonal changes due to the normal aging process.

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is an autoimmune disorder. It is an inflammatory disorder of the skin that is caused by the skin and epidermis turning over faster than it does in a normal individual. Treatments used to control psoriasis include steroid creams, antihistamines, light therapy, oral medications.
