The Plasma Pen works by converting electrostatic energy which is transmitted to a probe by impulse. at about 1mm from the skin, oxygen and nitrogen are mixed to produce and arc of plasm which discharges onto the surface of the skin called the epidermis.
There will be little scabs that form these are called plasma beads. These beads take on average 5-7 days to exfoliate off. Residual redness may take a bit longer to subside.
Every ones pain tolerance is unique to them. There is some discomfort; topical anesthetic (numbing cream) is applied an hour prior to the treatment to help minimize the discomfort.
